Ending the long wait of Kozhikode natives, Club FM 104.8 went on air from 9.30 am on Wednesday.The FM crew expect that the people of their home town will hold the new radio station close to heart.
Mathrubhumi Chairman and Managing Director MP Veerendra Kumar inaugurated Club FM by lighting the traditional lamp today at 9.30 am at the Club FM office at Cherootty road in Kozhikode. Managing Editor PV Chandran, Joint Managing Director M V Shreyams Kumar, Mathrubhumi Director P V Gangadharan, Joint Manging Editor P V Nideesh, Mathrubhumi Executive Editor P I Rajeev and other dignitaries attended the function.
Club FM radio stations, operated by the Mathrubhumi group, is already popular in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Thrissur, Kannur and UAE. Club FM is launching its sixth station in Kozhikode.
Club FM has become the leading FM station in Kerala by winning 24 national international recognitions for excellence.
“Like other Club FM stations, the listeners of Kozhikode will have tonnes of fun from the team Club FM,” said Club FM Kozhikode project head Mayura Shreyamskumar.
Club FM is all set to win the hearts of Kozhikode with a variety of programmes from the Kerala folk ballads called ‘Vadakkan Pattukkal’ to Alternative rock music.
Malabar Mornings, Kalakkan recharge, Food Muhabat, Sarkeet, Enthanu Babetta, and Sora para are the programmes ready to air in Club FM.
Club FM 104.8 is available within a range of 70 km around Kozhikode. The FM can also be listened in the hillside and coastal regions of the district. In addition to the music and chitchats, Club FM will also inform the news of the city.
A team of radio jockeys is all set in the FM to entertain the listeners without beating around the bush and to help attract the attention of authorities to social issues. – Matarbhumi
