In order to acquire new customers, direct to home (DTH) operator Tata Sky has launched a new offer under which all new acquisitions on the platform will be provided Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 Hindi channels free of cost at no extra cost from March 9 to May 27.

The offer for Standard Definition (SD) set top boxes (STBs) will mean that new customers will be able to enjoy the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) free of cost without having to pay for costly sports subscription packages.

New HD connections will also get Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 Hindi free, however, the high definition(HD) version of the channels will be only available once the subscribers pay HD access fee.

The IPL 2018 featuring 59 matches will be held from April 4 to May 27.

Meanwhile, the DTH operator has launched a new service Tata Sky World Screen HD which provides blockbuster movies in different languages (Korean, Italian, Flemish, Israeli, and much more) with English subtitles. It also offers Exclusive TV Shows from Monday to Friday, with a binge watch over the weekends.
