India is a huge market for content creation and post-production. We have a good following of customers who use Blackmagic Design products ranging from digital film cameras, routing solutions, live productions switchers solutions to grading films in DaVinci Resolve 14. Having recently developed Fairlight post-production audio tools in DaVinci Resolve 14, Broadcast India is an excellent opportunity to showcase DaVinci Resolve 14 as a revolutionary post-production workflow that works for editing, coloring, and audio engineering.
Together with the rest of our product lines, we are providing a complete solution for our customers. I expect that our presence at Broadcast India will allow us to show a more complete Blackmagic Design solution with DaVinci Resolve 14 as the post-production centerpiece.
This tool dramatically changes post-production from a linear to a parallel workflow, so everyone can work at the same time, giving editors, colorists, and audio engineers more time to be creative.

DaVinci Resolve 14 features a new high-performance playback engine that is up to 10 times faster than before. In addition to extensive CPU and GPU optimizations, customers also get better threading and GPU pipelining, lower latency, much faster UI refresh rates, support for Apple Metal, and much more. This makes DaVinci Resolve 14 times faster and more responsive than ever to help customers get incredibly fluid performance and more precise editing, even on long timelines with thousands of clips. Scrubbing and playback are instantaneous and there is powerful acceleration for processor-intensive formats like H.264, making it possible to edit 4K images on a laptop.
DaVinci Resolve is mainly used for color grading TVCs, music videos, short films, and corporate videos. It is also used to create proxies for certain camera formats and to create LUTs to be used in cameras. DaVinci Resolve version 12, is also being explored in an editing program.
With version 14's release, with the promised improvements in speed and audio editing, we believe, DaVinci Resolve is ready to take on the big boys. We willbe trial-running a few projects to edit on the tool to test if it is suitable for our set-up to migrate our main editing programme from our current software to new tool. We see quite a few benefits that this tool offers, namely, speed in moving from edit to color grade, cost of ownership, and ease of use.
