ENCO is set to introduce new software-defined tools to its radio automation systems that are designed to amp up production value for studio and remote productions at this year’s IBC show. Among these are updates to its DAD system.ENCO will show a new Media Object Server interface that enables DAD systems to play out assets from any MOS-supported newsroom system. DAD users can now better manage embedded audio while changes are automatically synchronized with playlists.
The DAD system has also expanded into live remote production, introducing the WebDAD enCloud solution. WebDAD allows broadcasters to control the radio station from any remote location with a network connection, with control of the complete on-air interface over IP through any standard web browser. WebDAD users can manage and drive on-air presentation, playlist manipulation and perform voice tracking.
DAD’s radio automation and management interface also is used for ENCO’s Visual Radio systems to deliver multimedia experiences to web and mobile audiences. Virtualized automation for radio will also be a point of focus for ENCO with discussions on how broadcasters can implement ENCO automation systems running off a single ENCO1 virtualized server. ENCO1 enables ENCO software systems to run in a virtualized environment by leveraging existing IP audio and video technologies.IBC 2017 will take place from Sept. 15-19 in Amsterdam. ENCO will be located at booth 8.D74 throughout the show. – Radio Magonline
