From industry point of view, we see mergers and acquisitions in 2017 and start of new services by telecom industry.

We will continue to invest in R&D to meet customer expectations and meet latest new technology requirements – be it 5G, Internet-of-Things (IoT), machine-to-machine (M2M), 100G–400G higher data rate testing, or addition of new features on available instruments.

We will enhance our service support and review channel partner management to reach more customers during 2017. It will help us to stay connected with the customer.

Anritsu has envisaged the company's form in the year 2020 through its 2020 Vision, under which it has set forth its goals to be a global market leader, and to create new business through emerging business.

The company has launched several products during 2016 and has earned the 2016 Global Product Line Strategy Award – Manufacturing Test Software for IoT from Frost & Sullivan. Some of the products are:

Industry's first 4x4 MIMO 256QAM, measurement software supporting all DL 3CC CA band combinations. Combining two MT8821C units, it supports unrestricted DL 3CC CA 4x4 MIMO 256QAM measurements and settings for all CC bands and bandwidth configurations.

Power Master frequency selectable mmWave Power Analyzer MA24507A. It is an ultraportable, USB-powered mmWave power analyzer, which enables simple, numeric, frequency-based measurement of RF power from 9 kHz to 70 GHz and as low as 90 dBm. Traditional power meters are broadband and have limited power ranges, so engineers and technicians are using spectrum analyzers, which include many unneeded features, cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and take up half the test bench just to make simple, frequency-based RF amplitude measurements. Power Master enables those measurements in a USB-powered device, slightly bigger than a smartphone and at a fraction of the price of a spectrum analyzer.

PAM4 signal testing using MP1800A signal quality analyzer. The developed 64 Gbaud*1 PAM4 DAC*2 G0374A supports 53.125 Gbaud PAM4 transmission, defined by the next-generation 400GbE*3 standard and can generate high-quality PAM4*4 signals at rates up to 64 Gbaud. In addition, combined use with the high-input sensitivity BER tester supports 400GbE 53.125 Gbaud BER measurements.

The company has leveraged its industry-leading fiber and RF-testing capability to develop the industry's fastest comprehensive front-haul test solution that more efficiently ensures the proper installation and operation of high-speed LTE networks. With the new CPRI RF module installed in the Anritsu Network Master Pro MT1000A, wireless carrier engineers and technicians responsible for optical fiber testing, and solving interference and PIM issues have a single handheld solution for accurate and efficient LTE CPRI testing and verification of the latest generation of tower-mounted radios (remote radio heads, RRH).

Due to merger/acquisition, most of telecom sites are having multiple-frequency band operational system at a single site. Launch of LTE has increased complexity of the sites. The company offers PIM Master with PIM Hunter to solve interference issues faced by telecom operators.

Anritsu technologies has also incorporated into a range of products in other fields, such as IP network equipment, inspection equipment for food and pharmaceutical products, and precision measuring instruments for electronic components.
