On expectations from Convergence India this year

This year's show took place at an exciting time as the Indian landscape continues its shift toward becoming a more digital economy. Digitization in India has been laying a sound foundation for the future of pay-TV in the region for quite some time and is finally reaching its tipping point. Video service providers are increasingly optimistic about the state of the market and are ready to delve into new multi-screen service models that would be virtually impossible to achieve with legacy systems.

On plans for 2017 in India

As a leader in digital video revenue security technologies, Verimatrix is seeing massive interest in its products across the digitization spectrum, including significant interest from major players as they begin delivering services over-the- top (OTT). We offer a roadmap that supports the full range of service providers and targets both low and high ARPU consumer segments. Our family of solutions secures revenue for the entire scope of service offerings, from cable/satellite to convergence with IP-based networks, to pure play OTT providers. We look forward to fulfilling pending deployments in the region and helping our customers expand into more sectors of the market.

On company performance in 2016

In 2016, Verimatrix experienced exceptional performance worldwide, growing by 20 percent.

On major customers and what they bought

A recent customer we announced in the region is Sunny Digital Home Entertainment. Our Video Content Authority System (VCAS) for DVB cardless solution supported its analog-to-digital transition, creating a foundation for future hybrid network and multi-screen services. The future in now is India. We are seeing an increasing interest in our Verspective Operator Analytics solution for operators that see great potential in the value and revenue streams that can be gained from understanding more about subscriber habits.
