Imagine Communications has supplied critical infrastructure to quadruple the channel playout count at Naaptol’s production and playout facility. All of the new channels are now running 24×7. The Naaptol facility delivering content to its viewers over cable and satellite has been upgraded in close collaboration with Ideal Systems. At the heart of the expanded centre are Nexio servers with Imagine high-performance online storage, giving show producers instant access to any content and allowing them to manipulate live, on-air promotions and pricing in accordance with current stock levels. The infrastructure also includes a sophisticated automated master control switcher and graphics, further increasing the ability to make instant adjustments in a dynamic environment. A Platinum VX router, along with additional Imagine Communications multiviewers and infrastructure products, tightly ties together the entire installation.

By adopting a seamless, automated, and highly reliable media technology platform, Naaptol was able to focus on its primary aim of delivering content that enhances the experience of India’s online shoppers.
