Netflix Will Not Increase Its Rates In Mexico And Brazil
Netflix announced rates increasement in US and several Latin American subscribers, except for Mexico and Brazil, which will continue paying the previous rates.
Netflix will increase its most popular plan price, Standard, in an 18 percent. It will cost USD 13 monthly, instead of USD 11 which cost previously, according to what Wall Street Journal published. The mentioned plan allows subscribers to watch content in two screens at the same time, with HD available. New prices will affect all new subscribers and, in the coming months, all existing customers.
Similarly, Netflix basic subscription, which allows reproduction in one screen with a quality standard, will rise from USD 8 to USD 9, and the Premium Ultra HD Pack (4K) will cost USD 16 monthly when it cost USD 14 previously.
This is the fourth time that Netflix increases its rates prices, which remained stable since October 2017. It means the most significant increase since the company launched its streaming service, 12 years ago.―NexTV News
