Ikegami Europe Expands Sales Engineering Team
Ikegami Electronics (Europe) GmbH announces two additions to the sales engineering team at its headquarters in Neuss.
David Lieven joins as Junior Sales Engineer specializing in broadcast equipment. He graduated in 2018 from the University of Applied Sciences Cologne with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in the field of media technology.
“Ikegami is at the forefront of broadcast camera and monitor equipment development,” David Lieven comments. “What fascinates me the most about the broadcast business is the symbiosis of many different products and technologies which can be combined to create the best possible viewer experience. The television media industry is a vast sector which has made rapid progress with the transition from analog to digital production and delivery and the growing popularity of TV viewing on tablets and phones. Ikegami has a long tradition of innovation including an early HDD-based camcorder, the first application of 0.18 micron ASICS in broadcast cameras and, with the SHK-810, the first hand-held 8K camera. The first 8K broadcast service commenced in December 2018 but that is one evolution which could take quite a long time.”
Cedric Ogon joins as Junior Sales Engineer specializing in Ikegami’s range of medical products. He has a degree in IT system electronics from IHK (Industrie- und Handelskammer Mittlerer Niederrhein).
“Ikegami produces a wide range of equipment for surgical applications,” Cedric Ogon adds. “These including high quality 4K cameras such as the MKC-750UHD, the MLW-2750UHD wide-dynamic-range 27 inch color monitor and the recently introduced MLW-2424C-DC 3G wide-colour-gamut multi-format LCD monitor. They are especially useful for medical training as entire operations can be captured for later study. This is an area where the chroma accuracy of wide-color-gamut and high picture detail of UHD resolution are particularly appreciated.―BCS Bureau
