ACT Fibernet launches OTT aggregator YuppTV Scope

Internet Service Provider (ISP) ACT Fibernet has entered into a new partnership with YuppTV to launch OTT aggregator platform YuppTV Scope. It will bring together various OTT platforms including ZEE5, SonyLIV, Voot Select. Moreover, it will offer live channels and movies as well.

On YuppTV scope platform, users will be able to access the OTT platforms, live TV channels with a single- subscription. Based on viewership patterns, curated manually by a team of experts while also using AI and ML capabilities, the platform aims to deliver a curated experience with personalised recommendations.

YuppTV Scope will soon be adding two more OTT partners to the subscription package in the coming weeks.

“We are excited to partner with ACT Fibernet to launch YuppTv Scope, our single subscription OTT streaming platform for ACT broadband users,” Uday Reddy, founder and CEO, YuppTV, said.

According to Reddy, YuppTV Scope offers a unique differentiation by bringing traditional TV experience to the platform. At YuppTV, we look at revolutionising content consumption in the country and usher in the era of OTT, through this tech-driven content curation platform YuppTV Scope,” he added.

Headquartered in Bengaluru, ACT Fibernet claims to have operations in 19 cities with 2 Mn customers. In 2019, ACT Fibernet forayed into the consumer category with the launch of its product ACT stream TV 4K.

As shared by Ravi Karthik, marketing head, Atria Convergence Technology Ltd, the OTT market boasts over 55 video entertainment apps and the number is still growing. With so many choices, Indian OTT customers are finding it difficult to subscribe to multiple video services separately.

Thus, OTT aggregation services are becoming more popular in the country, he added.

“With Yuppscope, we aim to satisfy the rising consumer demand for original content and offer a hassle-free experience of subscribing to many platforms with a single click,” Karthik added.

According to a PwC report, OTT video revenue nearly doubled in 2021 to INR 10,863 Cr and is expected to reach INR 21,032 Cr by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 14.1%, driven by subscription services. Communications Today
