Ateme to power OTT headend for IndiHome TV
Ateme, a global leader in video compression, delivery, and streaming solutions with innovation at its core, today announces that its OTT solutions have been selected to power the OTT headend of IndiHome TV — part of Telkom Indonesia’s nationwide fixed broadband service delivering internet, telephone, and video entertainment — to enable them to expand their headend and add extra channels.
Opening an office in Indonesia in 2021, Ateme provided Telkom with KYRION contribution solutions. Thanks to Ateme’s proven support and innovation, Telkom chose the company to help with its most recent IndiHome TV expansion, reaching around one million active monthly subscribers.
Ateme’s TITAN transcoders and NEA Just-in-Time packagers deliver a superior quality of experience with low latency and vivid images. The high-density transcoders and hyperconverged storage solution make the system more efficient, helping the company reduce its energy consumption.
“With increasing competition in the Indonesian television market, we were looking for ways to maximize viewer satisfaction,” said Gunawan Wasisto, Deputy Executive General Manager, IndiHome TV Infrastructure and Operation at Telkom Indonesia. “We knew we could trust Ateme as we have worked closely together for several years. Besides, Ateme’s advanced solutions not only offer the best choice for pristine-quality video, but also help us reduce our energy consumption, making our streaming greener. We very much enjoyed working with their local team and are excited to continue the relationship with Ateme.”
“Providing the right content is crucial for attracting new viewers, but these viewers will only stay if they have a top-notch quality of experience,” said Ateme’s Head of Sales, Southeast Asia, Sean Tan. “We are pleased to be accompanying the expansion of IndiHome TV, while ensuring that its viewers get the best-quality images possible.” BCS Bureau
