Xbox returns to Tokyo game show with digital broadcast

The Xbox Digital Broadcast is set to make a comeback at this year’s Tokyo Game Show on September 21. During the broadcast, Xbox and Bethesda Softworks will provide updates on their progress, while showcasing a diverse selection of games from creators in Japan and across Asia. Additionally, new games coming to Xbox Game Pass will be announced, adding to the growing library of content available for subscribers.

This year’s broadcast will be accessible on Tokyo Game Show’s official YouTube channel, as well as select Xbox social channels in multiple languages, including Japanese, English, Korean, Chinese, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, French, German, and Spanish. To ensure inclusivity, the broadcast will feature Japanese Sign Language, Australian Sign Language, and audio descriptions in both Japanese and English.

As always, Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show presentation will be uniquely Japanese-inspired. The Xbox Nexus and Xbox Series X console will be displayed alongside iconic Japanese symbols like the Maneki-neko (beckoning cat), Mount Fuji, cosmos flowers, and Japanese lanterns. It is hoped that the Maneki-neko will bring good luck to all viewers, whether they are watching the broadcast online or attending the event in-person.

For Xbox fans in Japan, there is an exciting opportunity to attend a special in-person event hostedIGN Japan featuring Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond. Free tickets to the event at the Makuhari Messe on September 23 can be applied for on the IGN Japan website or Twitter account.

Whether online or in-person, Xbox aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for players in Japan, the Asia region, and around the world to celebrate the extraordinary games being developed for their platform.
