TNT Sports strengthens UEFA Champions League
The pay-TV broadcasting network, TNT Sports has secured a broadcast renewal to the European top-tier football league, UEFA Champions League in Brazil.
As per the renewal, the broadcasting network will continue to air all the games of UCL in Brazil for the next three years.
According to the new agreement, by the time the contract expires, the media behemoth will have aired the competition for at least consecutive seasons.
Since the 2015–16 season, TNT Sports has owned the national rights to the UCL in the South American nation. The two parties last extended their contract in March 2021, encompassing the 2021–22–2023–24 cycle.
TNT Sports and SBT split rights for the previous cycle, with the commercial broadcaster airing 15 games a season, one per round from the group stage to the championship, with an option of Tuesday and Wednesday games.
TNT Sports is a collection of paid sports channels. Owned by BT Group and Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, they made their debut on August 1, 2013. Before moving to Chiswick Business Park in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in July 2023, the channels were housed at Here East, the old International Broadcast Centre. This is now the home of Warner Bros. Discovery. SportsMint Media
