Bharti Airtel gets green signal from CCI

Bharti Airtel has received approval from the Competition Commission of India to buy a 20 percent stake in its DTH arm Bharti Telemedia from Warburg Pincus.

This deal simply involves combining ownership within their company group. As explained by Bharti to CCI, this transaction will not impact the market, bring in new players, or change how Bharti Telemedia operates.
