Jio launches new unlimited OTT plan for fiber users, offering free Netflix, Prime Video and more
ndia’s leading telecom giant, Jio, has launched a new bundled streaming plan for users who prefer not to spend extra on various OTT services. Introducing its ‘Ultimate Streaming Plan,’ this postpaid option is competitively priced at Rs888 per month and is tailored specifically for JioFiber and Jio AirFiber subscribers.
According to Jio, the plan caters to users seeking seamless streaming and unlimited content access, albeit with a speed limit of 30 Mbps, ensuring smooth streaming experiences without buffering issues. However, the real highlight lies in its inclusion of over 15 premium OTT subscriptions, all bundled within the plan.
Jio AirFiber planÂ
This plan offers access to a vast library of content across popular platforms such as Netflix (Basic plan), Prime Video (Lite), and JioCinema Premium. Additionally, subscribers gain access to Disney+ Hotstar, Sony Liv, Zee5, Sun NXT, and a variety of other regional and niche OTT services like Hoichoi, Discovery+, ALTBalaji, Eros Now, Lionsgate Play, ShemarooMe, DocuBay, EPICON, and ETV Win (via JioTV+).
Moreover, while the plan is new, Jio hasn’t overlooked its existing user base. Whether currently on a prepaid plan or a lower bandwidth JioFiber/AirFiber plan (10 Mbps or 30 Mbps), users can seamlessly upgrade to this postpaid plan and unlock the treasure trove of OTT content.
Meanwhile, Jio’s recently announced IPL Dhan Dhana Dhan offer is also applicable to this plan. Eligible subscribers can avail of a 50-day discount credit voucher on their Jio home broadband connection, perfect for catching all the action during the ongoing T20 season.
Jio Cinema plan
Jio has recently rolled out an update to its OTT plan, introducing a fresh ad-free tier to its JioCinema Premium membership program. This unveiling brings forth the Rs 29 plan alongside a Rs 89 family plan, providing users with more options to tailor their viewing experience.Â
Starting with the JioCinema Rs 29 Premium Plan, subscribers get access to a monthly subscription offering a plethora of perks. These include access to 4K content, ad-free viewing, the ability to download content for offline viewing, and a diverse range of exclusive series, movies, Hollywood hits, kids’ content, and TV entertainment. It’s important to note that while ad-free viewing is provided, this perk excludes sports and live channels. The plan is designed for single-device usage at a time, and it’s compatible across various platforms such as mobile apps, web browsers, and TV.
Moving on to the JioCinema Rs 89 Premium Plan, subscribers enjoy similar benefits to the Rs 29 plan. This includes access to 4K content, ad-free viewing, offline viewing capabilities, and exclusive content. Again, ad-free viewing does not extend to sports and live channels. However, what sets the Rs 89 plan apart is its allowance for simultaneous streaming on up to four devices. This feature makes it an ideal choice for families or households with multiple users, enhancing the plan’s value proposition. MSN
