DTH performance report for may 2024

It’s time to analyze the performance of Direct-to-home (DTH) operators for the month of May 2024. Starting with Tata Play which came up with a large addition of 8 channels, followed by Airtel Digital TV with 2 new channels but simultaneously removed 2 channels from its platform. D2H added 1 new channel but also removed 1 channel. On the other hand, DD Free Dish removed 3 channels.

Tata Play
The additions made by Tata Play on their platform include DA News Plus, News Malayalam 24×7, Sansad TV 1 HD, Power Vision, Tata Play Lakshya TV, Tata Play Kartavya TV, Tata Play Kalyan TV, and Pear TV.

During May month, Tata Play didn’t remove any channel from their platform. Besides regular Jingalala offers, Tata Play has launched a new 6-month HD connection offer in Tamil Nadu.

Airtel Digital TV
Airtel Digital TV has made 2 new channels available on their platform namely Star Movies Select and Chumbak TV. Both the channels were added on 15th May 2024. Airtel Digital TV removed Ganguar TV and Sach Bedhadak from its platform. Airtel Digital TV provided no Super Sunday sale offer for the whole month.

Dish TV and D2H
D2H added Thanthi One and removed Makkal TV from its platform. Dish TV neither added nor removed any channels from its lineup during May month. Other than that, Pogo and Animal Planet were made available for free to Dish TV and D2H users.

DD Free Dish
The state-owned, Free-to-air satellite television provider DD Free Dish removed 3 channels- Pear TV, ABZY Movies, and ABZY Cool from its platform. DD Free Dish made no channel additions in May month.  DreamDTH
