Measat signs India broadcast deal
Measat has signed a new broadcasting deal with one of the India’s largest media companies. Sun TV Network will have its 37 channels broadcast via the Measat-3D satellite. These channels broadcast in seven languages, will reach over 140 million households in India and extend to audiences in the Asia Pacific, Europe, and Africa. Measat announced the deal, July 1.
Measat is a a major regional player in Asia based out of Malaysia. Its Measat-3b and Measat-3d satellites at the 91.5 degrees East orbital position facilitate the distribution of direct-to-home (DTH) TV channels to over 20 million viewers across the region.
