SKY Cable, Converge to enhance fiber broadband in Philippines
According to SKY Chairman, Mark Lopez, Converge has developed a cutting-edge fiber network that SKY customers will soon benefit from. SKY President, Claudia Suarez, mentioned that this partnership aligns with SKY’s plan to enhance its products and services, offering subscribers access to Converge’s world-class fiber network.
Converge President, Maria Grace Uy, stated that this arrangement will help Converge optimize its network and increase port utilization, leading to increased revenue. Converge currently has the largest fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network in the Philippines, serving millions of households nationwide.
Converge CEO, Dennis Anthony Uy, is excited about the prospect of supporting SKY’s transformation by providing the latest fiber technology. Moreover, Converge’s COO, Jesus Romero, is confident that SKY subscribers will enjoy faster broadband speeds with fiber connectivity.
ABS-CBN President, Carlo Katigbak, who is also a SKY director, believes that the partnership with Converge will bring about positive outcomes for SKY subscribers. The SKY transformation program includes network upgrades, operational efficiency improvements, financial discipline, and organizational enhancements.
Converge aims to equip all Filipinos with world-class connectivity and ensure that no one is left behind in the digital age. The SKY-Converge agreement will allow SKY to utilize Converge’s fiber network, providing customers with faster internet speeds and more reliable services.
