DRM previews its strong presence at IBC 2024

During the virtual presentation “DRM – Connecting All Through Innovation,” given on September 10th, many of the key DRM members (CML Micro, Gospell, RF2Digital, Fraunhofer IIS, Starwaves, Skyworks, and Inntot) presented their newest receiver solutions and upgrades to participants from all continents. This first key section of the event was followed by a crisp and exciting presentation on the many benefits of DRM (like the “ingrained” Emergency Warning Functionality – EWF, the distance school learning project, the public signage possibility). An update with many new elements of the DRM global presence provided a dynamic picture of the latest DRM developments in key countries like India, China, Indonesia, South Africa, etc.

Some of the most eye-catching announcements related to the availability of end-to-end DRM solutions, from transmitters to receivers (some of these with Wi-Fi hotspots, others with DAB+ or CDR added capability), as well as car receiver and mobile solutions. New radio chipsets (for both AM and FM), at various levels of complexity and within flexible price ranges, were also presented in detail. They can be tested or used already for the local production of receivers meeting the needs and tastes of local audiences.

Some of these innovations will be detailed and more good news will be announced on September 14th, when the DRM Consortium has planned two face-to-face RAI Amsterdam events: at 11:00 am and 4:00 pm (CEST or Amsterdam time).

On September 14th, Gospell Digital Technology invites all those interested in digital radio to stop over at Hall 1, stand B14, at 11:00 (CEST) to explore the latest end-to-end digital broadcast solutions offered by the company.

In the afternoon of September 14th, at 4:00 pm (CEST), Fraunhofer IIS will meet and greet all those interested in Hall 8, stand B80, to present the latest developments of this prestigious research institute, meet DRM experts, and network with those involved in promoting the global, all-frequency, efficient DRM standard.

On September 15th, join an event hosted by Nautel in Hall 8, stand D70, for a session on the continued relevance of digital radio. The DRM representative will share all the DRM good news and announcements in an attractive and compact presentation.

DRM member companies and their experts present at IBC are: Ampegon, CML Micro, Encompass, BBC, Desay SV, Fraunhofer IIS, RFmondial, RF2Digital, Starwaves, Bosch, Dolby, RRI, NXP, Panasonic, Skyworks, Assendive, Cambridge Consultants, DAC System, Inntot, Szomel, Kintronic Labs, Spaceline.
