ABC News announces Reena Mehta as Senior Vice President, Streaming and Digital Content

This morning, ABC News president Kim Godwin announced several executive appointments in the news group’s digital and content division.

Reena Mehta has been hired to serve as senior vice president of streaming and digital content, while the network announced other staff changes as it boosts its online presence.

Mehta was previously vice president of content strategy and planning at HBO Max. In her new role, a newly created position, she’ll oversee the slate of unscripted documentaries and narrative non-fiction series and specials across platforms, as well as the teams at ABC News Live, ABC News’ digital portfolio and ABC Audio. She will report to ABC News president Kim Godwin.

“With her expertise in the digital and streaming content landscape, I’m confident the strategic vision for our digital brands, streaming efforts and audio products will soar to new heights,” Godwin wrote in a note to staff. Deadline
