Ateme and EZDRM offer secure B2B content distribution over CDN for OTT and broadcast services
Ateme and EZDRM today announced a partner-centric solution for the secure delivery of video contribution feeds, eliminating the need for dedicated, proprietary mezzanine IP links or satellite delivery services. By leveraging DASH and HLS transcoding and packaging, robust DRM security, and standardized CDN distribution, this solution significantly reduces costs whether on-premise or operating from the cloud for rights holders, while providing a conveniently formatted, standards based, high-quality video source for downstream service distribution.
Rights holders and primary content distributors can now adopt a new primary distribution method for their partner affiliates, whether they be cable, satellite, IPTV or streaming, avoiding the need for costly, traditional distribution links. By utilizing off-the-shelf encoding and packaging solutions from Ateme, combined with a CPIX interface to EZDRM’s cloud-based DRM solution, highly secure content streams can be created and delivered via standard CDN links.
Service providers will be able to access the stream feed through a professional decoder and request a DRM license for decryption via a CPIX-based entitlement system. Once access is granted, they can repackage the content for their own OTT or linear feeds. This solution is applicable for delivering premium video feeds to both advanced streaming services and legacy operators. Additionally, streaming service providers can conveniently re-encrypt the entire DASH stream set using their own DRMaaS interface, leveraging the highest quality source material to enhance their consumer offerings.
“We are again illustrating our theme for IBC2024 of secure streaming enabling new businesses,” comments David Eisenbacher, CEO and co-founder of EZDRM. “Using robust integrations with our close partner Ateme, and a novel approach to leverage of standard streaming, we can help to re-invent the traditional video distribution infrastructure.”
“We’re excited to partner with EZDRM to transform video contribution delivery using OTT technology.” said Mickael Raulet, CTO of Ateme. “By leveraging our advanced encoding, packaging, and DRM solutions, we enable secure, cost-efficient distribution over standard CDN links, eliminating the need for costly infrastructure. This next transformation in contribution reinforces Ateme’s commitment to innovation.”
The solution will be demonstrated at IBC 2024 on the Ateme booth #1.D61 and at EZDRM #5.A50.
