BCCI extends IPL media rights tender purchase date till May 20th

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended the last date to purchase tender documents for the media rights of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The last date ended on Tuesday evening but the BCCI has decided to extend the date by 10 more days. BCCI says more interest parties wants to pick tender.

“Pursuant to requests from various interested parties, BCCI has now decided to further extend the date for purchasing the ITT documents till May 20, 2022” informed the BCCI.

Meanwhile Top Indian broadcasters as well as global tech giants have picked up the tender documents. Alphabet Inc, the parent company of Google, has joined the race for coveted IPL Media Rights.

The technology giant has picked up bid documents for IPL Media Rights.

As per a Bloomberg report, the American tech giant picked up bid documents from the BCCI. As per sources inside the board, Alphabet picked up bid documents for YouTube, a video hosting and sharing platform with over 2 billion active users a month. Inside Sport
