Bell closes acquisition of Outfront Media’s Canadian business
Bell media has bought Outedge, Outfront Media’s Canadian business for C$410 million, the two companies announced Monday.
According to Jeremy Male, chairman and chief executive officer of Outfront Media, the sale illustrates the inherent value of Outfront’s OOH assets, and will allow them to focus entirely on its business in the United States.
“This acquisition solidifies our leadership position in the out-of-home space,” says Sean Cohan, president of Bell Media. “Our now expanded national inventory of both digital and out-of-home assets will drive even better, industry-leading results for our advertising partners.”
This deal has been in the works since the sale was first announced on October 23, 2023. According to the company, Bell Media will merge Outedge into Astral over time and operate under the Astral brand. Outfront Media’s business in Canada operates 9,325 displays and generated an annual revenue of over $91.9 million by the end of 2022. Media in Canada
