Bitmovin, a leading provider of video streaming infrastructure, announced today the launch of the Bitmovin Innovators Network, a community of over 60 industry-leading technology vendors, resellers, consultants, and academic researchers to provide world-class solutions for video streaming. The Bitmovin Innovators Network members include Akamai, Alpen-Adria-Universität, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Better Software Group, Broadpeak, Dalet, Grass Valley, Google Cloud, Irdeto, Itochu, Microsoft, Minerva Networks, NAGRA, Nomad, Red Bee Media, Southworks, Videon Labs, Vietcoms, Vimond Media Solutions, Zixi, and dozens more.
“The Bitmovin Innovators Network brings together industry trailblazers to spearhead the new era of video streaming,” said Stefan Lederer, CEO and Co-Founder of Bitmovin. “Our goal is to remove the technical complexities of video streaming projects that take months to build by simplifying video streaming workflows so our customers can deliver superior viewing experiences to audiences at speed and scale.”
The primary aim of the Bitmovin Innovators Network is to reduce the complexity of live and on-demand video workflows, making it easier for organizations from every industry to deliver high-quality video and audio experiences. Compared to traditional industry partnership programs, a key differentiator of the Bitmovin Innovators Network is that it also includes leading academic and technical research organizations delivering ground-breaking technological developments in video streaming. Austria’s Alpen-Adria-Universität (AAU) is a member of the Bitmovin Innovators Network and is pioneering technical innovation and efficiency in media production and delivery together with leading technology vendors and consultants.
“Video streaming has become central to video entertainment at an astonishing rate,” said Shane McCarthy, COO of Video Entertainment at Irdeto. “It’s magnified the need for efficient, interoperable solutions that customers can deploy quickly and easily, which is front and centre of the Bitmovin Innovators Network’s vision. It’s logical for us to share our expertise in cybersecurity with fellow industry pioneers so we can accelerate innovation across the video streaming ecosystem.”
“The world of video streaming is inherently more complex than many people realize, and many media companies lack the in-house technical expertise required to implement the video workflows required to deliver a compelling viewing experience. The Bitmovin Innovators Network helps solve this challenge by bringing us the opportunity to team up with fellow video experts to create game-changing solutions so we can simplify video workflows for customers and deliver a stunning, secure, scalable video experience,” concluded Steve Russell, Chief Product Officer at Red Bee Media.
