BSNL launches nationwide Wi-Fi sharing ‘Sarvatra tech’
BSNL has started work on an incredible project that will allow people to access private WIFI anywhere in the country. The only requirement is a Wi-Fi connection at home. BSNL’s ‘Sarvatra tech’ is a novel idea left unexplored by other internet or mobile phone providers in the country.
The trial has started. The first implementation will be in Delhi, Kerala and Mumbai.
As of now, users need to stay within their houses to access the Wi-Fi connection. BSNL intends to herald a change after their internet and mobile phone market suffered a setback.
Last year alone, 180 lakh customers left BSNL due to a lack of 4G. This year, the numbers reached 23.54 lakh.
Necessary functions are included in the newly installed 4G towers that will soon support a 5G connection. There are also plans to set up one lakh new towers across the country this year for Rs 6000 crore.
Those who have taken Fiber to the Home (FTTH) connection will get Wi-Fi from FTTH towers anywhere in India. For this, it is enough to register once on Sarvatra’s portal. It does not require a special password.
