Changes at the helm

Ashwini Vaishnaw has been appointed the Minister of Information and Broadcasting. He succeeds Anurag Thakur, who was the I&B minister in the previous term.

Vaishnaw retains the Railways Ministry, and has been given additional charge of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Dr. L. Murugan is the Minister of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting;

PM Narendra Modi holds the portfolio of the Department of Space.

Dr Jitendra Singh is now the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
