Connected TV World Summit Will Go Ahead, With Precautions

Connected TV World Summit, the television industry thought-leadership gathering in London on March 18-19, is going ahead.

Mediatel Events, which hosts the two-day conference each year, issued a statement on March 3 saying they are committed to ensuring the wellbeing of all attendees and have followed the recent UK government and World Health Organisation guidelines regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) and will continue to do so.

Strict measures are being put in place to ensure all delegates and partners feel safe during the two days of the conference, including increased disinfecting and cleaning of public spaces within the venue, and ample hand sanitisers throughout the venue.

The event will be live streamed to all delegates so that anyone prevented from travel can see the content.

“Over the course of the last two weeks, we have seen that people are still booking tickets to attend and we are being guided in part by the market in that respect,” said Steve Scaffardi, head of events at Mediatel Events.
