Dish TV Introduces D2h Magic Streaming Device

After venturing into OTT content hosting through a Watcho app earlier this year, Dish TV has now announced a new content streaming solution with the launch of the d2h Magic streaming device. With d2h Magic, users can stream live channels and videos from various streaming partners. The d2h Magic streaming device is available for an introductory price of Rs 399.

The d2h Magic streaming device will be available for a price of Rs 399 plus a subscription price of Rs 25 per month (excluding taxes) post the 3-month preview period. To access the service, users will need to plug in their d2h Magic device to their d2h set-top box and connect to a WiFi network. The streaming device can be controlled through a single remote and will come with a unified interface for both Live TV and streaming.

d2h Magic will allow customers to access digital video streaming and OTT apps on their existing d2h set-top box. Dish says the streaming device will help bridge the gap between real-time TV and online content.

Dish TV’s new streaming device will be able to offer catch-up TV shows, original web-series and video content through apps like ZEE5, Watcho, ALTBalaji and Hungama Play in English, Hindi and other regional languages. Users will be able to watch cooking recipes, make-up and styling tutorials, Yoga, fitness and more while there will be a selection of rhymes, learning and educational videos for Kids.

Speaking about the launch, Dish TV India Limited Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer, Anil Dua said “We are delighted to announce the launch of d2h Magic. It will empower our customers to enjoy internet-based content as well as Live TV using one remote in an immersive manner on their TV sets. At Dish TV India Ltd, we believe in bringing the latest technology and innovation to our customers. d2h magic is yet another step in this direction”.―The Mobile Indian
