Disney to stop broadcasting Fox channel in Germany

Disney is dropping its Fox TV channel in Germany, Chip.de and Focus Online report. This means that Sky Deutschland will not show the Fox channel in the future. The Fox channel will end in German-speaking countries on 30 September, and a number of its popular programmes will move then to the streaming service Disney+ from October.

Disney also stopped the broadcast of the Disney Cinemagic channel in Germany and took Disney XD out of the program offering after more than ten years, in order to focus on its streaming service. Classic programmes such as The Simpsons, The Walking Dead and Family Guy should, however, continue to be broadcast on free TV, including on ProSiebenSat.1 or RTL2. Telecom Paper
