DSport To Telecast Afghanistan-Ireland Limited Overs Series In India
DSport will broadcast the upcoming Afghanistan-Ireland ICC cricket series Live in India.
The series will be played at Afghanistan’s “home venue” – the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun from the February 21 to March 19.
The Ireland tour starts with three T20 games, the first of which would be played on Thursday, February 21. The telecast onDSPORT starts from 6:30 PM India time. DSport will telecast the 1st & 2nd T20 matches out of the three games.
This is the second bilateral series between mighty minnows Afghanistan and Ireland. In the last encounter when Ireland hosted Afghanistan, the visitors had defeated the home team in both the T20 series as well as the One Day Internationals.
Afghanistan have opted the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, as their “home venue”. The team would earlier host the matches at the Noida international stadium
Broadcast arrangements will be in place for only the 1st, 3rd and the 4th ODIs in the five-match series.
The Discovery-backed broadcaster has yesterday pulled out of the Pakistan Super League broadcast in wake of the terror attack on the CRFP convoy in Pulwama, which has resulted in the martyrdom of 44 Indian jawans.—Inside Sport
