Formula 1® and Fuji TV extend historic partnership to broadcast F1 in Japan in 2023
Formula 1® and Fuji Television Network, INC has today announced an extension of its partnership, which will see CS broadcasting service, Fuji Television NEXT Live Premium continue to broadcast live coverage of in a deal through to 2025.
The agreement will see Fuji TV broadcast all races, including practice, qualifying sessions, F1 Sprint events and Grand Prix live on its CS channel, Fuji TV NEXT LIVE Premium which will simultaneously broadcast on Fuji TV Nextsmart. Fans will also be able to tune into three days of full coverage of pre-season testing in Bahrain, which sees drivers, including hometown hero Yuki Tsunoda, take to the track for the first time this season.
The 2023 season, which will feature a 23-race schedule, including the FORMULA 1 LENOVO JAPANESE GRAND PRIX and the inaugural FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX, marks the 37th year that Fuji Television has broadcasted all F1 events since the maiden Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka in 1987. 2023, also marks the 26th year of live coverage of all sessions on the CS channel which started in 1998.
