GS Kesarwani Joins I&B Ministry

GS Kesarwani who is Director of Engineering in Doordarshan now has been placed at Ministry of Information & Broadcasting where he will hold the same designation.

He had rejoined Doordarshan in August 2018 as deputy director of engineering. Prior to that, he was deputed at Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) as Deputy Advisor.

“Consequent upon his transfer in the same capacity from PB Secretariat to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in pursuance of PB Secretariats office order no. 426/2019-PPC dated 10.12.2019, Sh. Gaurishankar Kesarwani, Director (Engineering) will stand relieved from Prasar Bharati Secretariat with effect from 27.12.2019 (A.N.) with the directions to report to Ministry of I&B on 30.12.2019,” Prasar Bharati said in an office order.

At TRAI, he worked on several initiatives related to the broadcasting and cable TV sector including the successful implementation of digitisation of cable TV sector.

He holds B.Tech (Electronics and Telecommunication) from J.K. Institute of Applied Physics, University of Allahabad and M.Tech from IIT Kanpur.―Indian Broadcasting World
