GTPL Hathway Q2 results net profit plunges 63% to ₹13 crore, revenue up 10%

Digital cable TV and broadband service provider GTPL Hathway Ltd on Wednesday (October 9) reported a 62.9% year-on-year (YoY) drop in net profit at ₹12.7 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2024.

In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, GTPL Hathway posted a net profit of ₹34.2 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company’s revenue from operations increased 9.8% to ₹855.6 crore against ₹779.2 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.

At the operating level, EBITDA declined 13.7% to ₹107.3 crore in the second quarter of this fiscal over ₹124.3 crore in the year-ago period.

EBITDA margin stood at 12.5% in the reporting quarter against 16% in the second quarter of FY24. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.

The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of GTPL Hathway Ltd ended at ₹165.65, up by ₹2.55, or 1.56%, on the BSE. CNBCTV18
