HbbTV Association to stage Paris Symposium and Awards this November

The 9th HbbTV Symposium and Awards will take place in Paris, France, on November 25 and 26, 2021.

Organised by the HbbTV Association, the event is seen as the key summit for the connected TV industry, targeting platform operators, broadcasters, advertisers and adtechs, standards organisations and technology companies.

It will be co-hosted with Salto, the new French TV platform, operated by domestic public and commercial broadcasters France Télévisions, TF1 and M6.

“After the regrettable, but necessary cancelation of our 2020 Symposium, we are confident that we will be able to prepare and carry out again an exciting summit this year despite the challenges the Covid-19 situation poses to international business events,” said Vincent Grivet, Chair of the HbbTV Association. “We are delighted to hold this edition of the HbbTV Symposium and Awards in Paris with Salto as the co-host.”

“HbbTV is key in our platform strategy and we are very happy to co-host the annual HbbTV Symposium in Paris, fostering the relationship between the French TV players and the global HbbTV community,” added Thomas Follin, CEO, Salto.

The HbbTV Association is currently planning a hybrid event, which includes an in person gathering, the size of which will depend on local regulations at the time. There will also be the possibility of online participation. Broadband Tv News
