Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, attended the launch of Live FM, a private Asian-language radio station broadcasting on 107.2 FM, held at the Ministry of Information’s private radio studios. The event was also attended by Vinod Kurian Jacob, Ambassador of India to Bahrain.
The minister remarked that Live FM’s launch reflects the strong relations between Bahrain and India, expressing hope that the station will further develop bilateral ties, particularly in cultural and media collaboration.
He highlighted the significance of the new station, located in the private radio studios inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, last August. This facility is a comprehensive media hub equipped with state-of-the-art broadcasting, sound, and digital technology, supporting Bahrain’s strategy to attract specialised media companies and enhance investment in the sector.
The minister emphasised the importance of Live FM in catering to Bahrain’s large Asian-speaking community by providing diverse content in their native language, and extended his best wishes for its success.
On his part, Ambassador Jacob thanked the minister for attending the launch, praising Bahrain’s openness and tolerance in welcoming foreign communities, including the Indian community. He expressed confidence that Live FM would serve as a cultural bridge, strengthening communication and showcasing Bahrain’s progressive image to Asian-speaking residents in the Kingdom.
