JBL Professional bows VTX B28 subwoofer ‘for the most demanding shows on the planet

JBL Professional has introduced the VTX B28, a dual 18-inch subwoofer designed to complement the company’s top-end VTX full-range sound reinforcement systems. It is, says the company, capable of delivering uncompromised low-frequency performance, even for the most demanding shows on the planet.

The B28 features JBL Differential Drive transducers, an exclusive port design, and the same industrial design found in JBL’s VTX A-Series line. It can be flown or ground stacked, in omnidirectional or cardioid configurations. With simple, fast rigging, a full raft of accessories and software support, it’s intended for rental, AV, and touring companies, as well as in high-end fixed installations.

An integral, two-point rigging system allows flown arrays of up to 16 B28 enclosures. Alternatively, three M20 pole mount attachments on the enclosure’s top can interface with standard Base Plate accessories for the A12, A8, and V20 systems to create ground stacked systems.

JBL Pro B28 systems are powered exclusively by Crown I-Tech HD amplifiers and are fully integrated into JBL’s software ecosystem. Audio Media
