Jio GigaFiber Update: Broadband Connection Requests Received From 1400 Cities
Jio GigaFiber FTTH broadband services have been in the news since the last couple of years and while Reliance Jio has been testing its Jio GigaFiber services in multiple Indian cities, there has been no word on its official rollout. On the other hand, the company has confirmed that Jio GigaFiber broadband connections will be first made available in 1,100 Indian cities based on the number of registration requests received.
It is worth noting that Reliance Jio has made a number of confirmation in regards to the Jio GigaFiber broadband services such as the Jio GigaFiber Preview Offer under which users will get 100GB of free monthly broadband data at 100Mbps for the first three months while users will also have to pay Rs. 4500 as a refundable security deposit in order to get a new Jio GigaFiber connection.
Recently, Reliance Jio has confirmed some important developments in the rollout of Jio GigaFiber FTTH broadband services while also confirming that people from several Indian cities have shown their interests in getting a new Jio GigaFiber connection.
that Jio GigaFiber services for Home broadband, Entertainment, Smart Home Solutions, Wireline, and Enterprise has witnessed overwhelming customer interest across 1400 cities. Moreover, Reliance Industries Limited is also waiting for the approvals to complete its investment in Den Networks Limited, Hathway Cable and Datacom Limited in order to strengthen the business model of 27,000 LCOs (Local Cable Operators) that are aligned with DEN and Hathway across 750 Indian cities.
On the other hand, the Mukesh Ambani-led company has also confirmed that Jio is currently connecting homes with Jio GigaFiber on priority based on the requests received and optimizing its service offerings.
This goes in line with the fact that Jio GigaFiber broadband services will be rolled out to 1,100 Indian cities first and since the company has received customer interest across 1400 cities, which city will get the Jio GigaFiber connectivity first will now depend on the number of registration requests received from the particular areas.―Times Now
