MeitY showcases ‘Digital India Innovation Zone’ at IMC 2024
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has inaugurated the ‘Digital India Innovation Zone’ pavilion at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, aimed at providing delegates with hands-on experience regarding India’s various Digital Public Infrastructure (DPIs).
Secretary of MeitY, S. Krishnan, also visited the pavilion, where he explored a range of advanced electronic systems and digital e-governance solutions on display. The MeitY pavilion aims to provide delegates with practical experiences related to various DPIs, including DigiLocker, UMANG, Aadhaar, UPI, eSanjeevani, ONDC, and Digital India BHASHINI. Additionally, organizations under MeitY—C-DAC, NIXI, and SAMEER—have set up interactive booths to showcase Made-in-India technological advancements.
Through this state-of-the-art pavilion, MeitY seeks to inform global stakeholders about scalable projects that enhance the Ease of Living, Ease of Doing Business, and Ease of Governance for citizens. The UMANG booth takes visitors through important services such as blood bank searches, train navigation, pensioner life certificate generation, and passport services in real time using a rotoscope.
