CableLabs has appointed Mariam Sorond as the organization’s chief research and development officer and senior vice president, reporting to president and CEO Phil McKinney. Sorond comes to CableLabs from DISH Network, bringing more than 24 years of technical and strategy experience in the telecommunications industry.

Jackie Lee-Joe has been appointed as chief marketing officer (CMO), Netflix. Jackie has served as CMO of BBC Studios, part of the British Broadcasting Corporation, since 2015. She is based in Los Angeles. Jackie succeeds Kelly Bennett, who announced his retirement from the company earlier this year.
