Nandan Srinath rejoins Mirchi as executive President
Entertainment Network India Ltd. (holding company of Radio Mirchi) has roped in BCCL Director -Response, Nandan Srinath as its Executive President. Nandan joined the company on 1st May 2020 and reports to Prashant Panday, MD & CEO, ENIL. This is Nandan’s second stint in ENIL – he had been COO from 2006 to 2009 before leaving for BCCL. As Executive President, Nandan will be managing four strategic functions – Marketing, Creative Services, Digital and International business.
Speaking about his appointment, Prashant says, “Mirchi has always believed & supported career development of its employees. We believe in giving a lot of space to employees to hone their skills, whether their creative instincts or innovative business ideas, and this has paid off well for us. Today we can proudly say that many talented individuals, after developing in Mirchi, are playing leadership roles in several companies inside and outside the TOI group. When one of these leaders returns, it is a big boost for Mirchi”.
Yatish Mehrishi, COO of ENIL also welcomes Nandan on board & will be closely working with him to scale up multiple revenue streams for ENIL. Yatish has been managing 76 radio stations in India, International radio revenues (USA & UAE) & all other business verticals such as Original content, Online radio, Event IPs etc. Nandan and Yatish are old colleagues and are looking forward to creating magic again together!
Nandan comes with over 25 years of experience in marketing, sales and general management across media and FMCG sectors. He had joined ENIL back in 2001 as Business Head in Delhi and left as COO in 2009. After this successful stint of 8 years with ENIL, he joined Bennett Coleman Co Ltd as President Business Development – Mobile Initiatives and soon was promoted as Director- Response. Now, Nandan is excited to be back in ENIL and is looking forward to successfully leading his team to achieve dominant leadership in this highly competitive business.
Nandan had this to say about his move back to Mirchi “This is more than a mere home-coming for me. I was fortunate to be a part of the original team that built the radio business in the country in the first decade of this century. And in the second decade ENIL and its brands became so much more powerful across platforms. I look forward to working with the teams to help chart the next decade of dominance for ENIL.”
