Netflix’s triple treat on telugu OTT

The Telugu OTT space had been running high and dry until recently with no notable Telugu OTT outings. But that is not the case now, thanks to the triple treat from Netflix.

First, it was Salaar which made its OTT debut on Netflix on the 20th of January.

This film trended big time on Netflix for a few days and made a whole lot of noise. The action part clicked big time. Then came Animal, which was always on course to create multiple discussions in the OTT space. The film too stuck a chord with the Telugu folk and gained traction following the Netflix debut. Lastly, Guntur Kaaram has arrived on Netflix now.

Despite the obvious shortcomings in terms of screenplay, the film is still making some noise after the OTT release. A few are commenting that Guntur Kaaram’s second viewing is partly better given that they already know the shortcomings in the story and can enjoy Mahesh’s energetic persona. All in all, the three new outings on Netflix have gained a fair deal of traction for the OTT giant. With three back-to-back big-ticket outings, Netflix has emerged as a go-to spot for the Telugu folk. M9.News
