NRRA broadcasters lauded for agriculture coverage

Celebrating excellence in agricultural reporting, the Nebraska Rural Radio Association (NRRA) farm broadcasters have been honored with prestigious awards from the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB).

The 2023 NAFB Broadcast Contest Awards recognized the talents of NRRA broadcasters, underscoring their dedication and skill in delivering top-tier agricultural programming.

Moreover, the NRRA’s commitment to innovation and creativity in commercial production garnered significant recognition during the 2023 Plambeck Awards:

Both winning entries were crafted by the hands of KTIC Radio’s Nick Wieman.

These accolades not only honor individual talents but also reflect the NRRA’s collective dedication to excellence in reporting and creative content production.

The Nebraska Rural Radio Association is the only radio group in the nation that is owned by a cooperative of farmers and ranchers. Along with flagship studios in Lexington, other markets include Scottsbluff, West Point, Holdrege, York and Broken Bow. In addition to the radio stations, the NRRA has production studios on the Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln.
