Oi pulls the plug on DTH and IPTV sale to Sky Brazil

Oi has informed its shareholders that the April 2022 agreement to sell its DTH and IPTV subscriptions to Sky Servicos de Banda Larga (Sky Brazil) has been abandoned. It is understood that the deal was originally negotiated when AT&T controlled Sky Brazil, but renegotiations came unstuck after AT&T sold its Latin American pay-TV business unit, Vrio Corp, to Buenos Aires-based Grupo Werthein.
