Pending MSO Registrations Are Under Consideration
In a monthly open house meeting the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) informed the applicant multiple system operators (MSO) that issue of pending applications for MSO registration is under consideration. This was the 36th open house meeting held between MIB and the applicant MSOs/existing MSOs in the ministry to answer their queries and to convey the status of their application.
As per the minutes of the meeting, representative of TCN Enterprises, Sangani Den Networks Pvt. Ltd., Pi Network, Priyadarshani Cable TV, Shri Varshitha Cable TV, Shree Cable Network, Deoguling Primary Agriculture Co-operative Society, Alok Bindu Cable & Broadband welfare Association, and Blast Digital participated in the open house meeting. All the representatives, except TCN Enterprises and Sangani Den Networks Pvt. Ltd., are the applicant MSOs who have submitted their applications to the Ministry for grant of MSO registration. They inquired about the status of their applications.
TCN Network had issues relating to interconnect agreement with Broadcasters, the minutes of the meeting revealed. The representative was also informed to submit his representation to the ministry so that the matter may be taken with TRAI. Also, the representative of Sangani Den Networks Pvt. Ltd stated that the Ministry due to non-submission of documents has closed his application for MSOs registration. In this regard, the ministry requested the representative to submit representation with valid documentary proof to the ministry for further consideration.
