Sanjay Gupta elevated as Google’s APAC President

Sanjay Gupta, Google’s Country Manager for India, has been elevated to President of the Asia Pacific region. He will replace Scott Beaumont, who is retiring by the end of this year.

Gupta has been associated with Google India as Country Head and Vice President since 2020.

Prior to that, he was Managing Director at Star India from 2016 to 2020 and COO from 2009 to 2016. Gupta was Chief Marketing Officer (Mobility) at Bharti Airtel from 2007 to 2009 and, before that, at Hindustan Unilever Ltd for 16 years.

After completing his engineering studies at Delhi College of Engineering, Gupta did his MBA at IIM, Calcutta.
