SHARP appoints Sujai Karampuri as chairman India
SHARP has announced the appointment of Sujai Karampuri as chairman for its India Business, effective from 1st March 2024. Karampuri will lead the Display Business and work to enhance Sharp’s brand presence in India. His focus will include establishing strategic partnerships for manufacturing and technology transfer of SHARP’s engineering products, components, and solutions.
Karampuri brings a background in strategic business and technology development across sectors like Electronics & Semiconductors, Broadband, and Wireless communications. He will drive SHARP’s efforts to expand its presence in India’s display market, promote its consumer electronics business, and develop strategic partnerships for manufacturing, technology transfer, and the development of smartphone components, camera modules, TV panels, precision engineering solutions, sensors, and semiconductors.
Previously, Karampuri held leadership roles within the State Government of Telangana, including Director of Electronics and Semiconductor, CEO of T-Works, and Managing Director of Telangana Fiber Grid Corporation. His appointment signifies a strategic direction for SHARP in India focused on cooperation, innovation, and growth.
