Sibel Boner Joins BBC Global News For Germany, Austria And CEE

BBC Global News, the BBC’s international commercial news, sport and features arm, has named Sibel Boner as the new Head of Commercial Partnerships for Germany, Austria and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Boner recently joined the team and will have overall responsibility for the growth of local commercial activities.

In Germany alone, BBC.com attracts 2.5 million unique browsers per month and BBC World News is available in more than 40 million households, according to the BBC. Ad sales revenue for BBC Global News in Germany more than quadrupled between 2016 and 2019.

With more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience, Sibel Boner has held several senior positions in the industry, including as the Managing Director of Gruner+Jahr (part of Bertelsmann) and as the International Senior Sales Manager and Deputy Key Account Director for International Media Sales.
