Sony pictures networks India announces retirement of executives

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) bid farewell today to two longtime executives, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Nitin Nadkarni and General Counsel Ashok Nambissan, who are set to retire on August 31, 2024.

• Financial Leader Nitin Nadkarni brought his extensive financial expertise, honed over four decades in the industry, to SPNI in 2005. He played a critical role in shaping the company’s financial health and strategic direction.Nadkarni’s leadership encompassed not only SPNI’s financial operations but also its commercial activities and broadcast operations. His steady hand guided SPNI through complex financial landscapes, ensured sustainable growth, and instilled a culture of accountability and precision within the company.
• Legal Strategist Ashok Nambissan joined SPNI in 2007 and became the architect of the company’s legal and regulatory framework. His keen legal mind and strategic vision proved invaluable in navigating SPNI through a multitude of challenges and opportunities.
  Nambissan’s leadership was particularly noteworthy in spearheading major acquisitions, such as the renegotiation of IPL rights and the acquisition of Ten Sports. He also played a vital role in shaping industry regulations by collaborating with industry bodies. Furthermore, Nambissan’s involvement in initiatives like the joint venture with BBC Earth and the expansion of SonyLIV further solidified his legacy at SPNI. Media Noise
