Star India To Launch Star Sports Bangla In March

Star India has announced another addition to its bouquet of regional sports channels. Star Sports 1 Bangla is scheduled for launch sometime next month – “on or before March 31, 2019”.

Star Sports 1 Bangla will be the fourth addition to the network’s regional sports channels after Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star Sports 1 Telugu and Star Sports 1 Kannada. The Star Sports 1 Telugu and Star Sports 1 Kannada have been launched in November-December last year.

Star Sports 1 Bangla, the 11^th SD screen in Star Sports portfolio, will be a paid channel and invoke a monthly subscription of ₹ 19. Now Stars 37 SD channels include 11 sports channels. Among 27 HD Channels there are five sports channels.

Meanwhile, Star India has also launched of six new bouquet packs, Star has 78 bouquet packs across English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. These include two type of packs Value and Premium in both SD and HD in each language.

The six new packs are presented as Bengali Hindi Premium, Bengali Hindi Premium HD, English Mini, English Mini HD, English Premium, and English Premium HD.

The Bengali Hindi Premium and Bengali Hindi Premium HD packs are priced at ₹85 and ₹130 respectively. The two bouquets have Bengali, Hindi, English entertainment and movie channels apart from sports and infotainment channels.

The English Mini Pack priced ₹20 comprises of channels like Star Movies, Star World, and Fox Life. The English Mini HD has HD versions of Star Movies, Star World, and Fox Life and is priced at ₹35.

The English Premium and English Premium HD packs have English entertainment/movies, sports and infotainment channels. The English Premium SD pack is priced at ₹ 49 while the English Premium HD Pack is priced at ₹ 85.―InsideSport
