Star Sports Confirms Premier League Rights Deal
Star Sports has confirmed an extension of its Premier League media rights deal for the next three years. As part of the deal, Star Sports will continue to exclusive broadcast of the Premier League content until the 2021-22 season.
During the three-year rights period, India’s leading sports broadcaster will telecast 250 Premier League games LIVE across the network and beam all the 380 games LIVE on its digital platform Hotstar.
For the past two decades, Star Sports has continued to entertain football fans in India with top flight English football. Today (Friday), the broadcaster announced that it will continue its partnership with Premier League for the next three years running up to the 2021-22 season.
InsideSport.co had last week reported that Star Sports has agreed to extend the Premier League media rights contract, but at lower rates.

The renewal reinforces Star Sports’ and Hotstar’s commitment to football in India, with the best of global and Indian football action. Star Sports will broadcast more than 250 Premier League games LIVE across the network and beam All 380 games LIVE on Hotstar.

As part of building the footballing ecosystem in India, Star Sports, through Select FC – An exclusive fan club for football fanatics, will continue to host special match screenings and Legend meets for fans across the country. In addition to bringing all the Live action, Star Sports will continue with its rich list of non-live programming by bringing daily shows such as Fantasy Premier League, The Football Show, FanZone, PL Kick-Off etc.
The world’s toughest watched league will continue to showcase the talent of Kevin De Bruyne (Man City), Mo Salah (Liverpool), Paul Pogba (Man United), Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal), Harry Kane (Tottenham) on the field with Pep Guardiola (Man City), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), Unai Emery (Arsenal) and Ole Gunnar Solskjær (Man United) orchestrating the team movements from off the field.
